FREEZER MEAT LOAF


When things are hectic, having a hearty meatloaf in the freezer just makes sense.  

This make-ahead meatloaf is also great when you want to prepare a meal for a new mother, sick friend, or sissy that needs a break.  

It can easily be stored in the freezer and later cooked in an aluminum loaf pan.


- Ingredients :

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage leaves or 1/4dried sage leaves

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

1/2 teaspoon pepper

2 teaspoon garlic cloves chopped or 1/2garlic powder

1  egg

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1  small onion diced

- Instructions :

1. Combine all ingredients.

2. Shape into a large loaf and place in an ungreased aluminum pan or loaf pan

3. Wrap in saran wrap, then foil, date, and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.

4. When you are ready to use, let thaw in the fridge overnight.

5. preheat oven to 350°F.

6. Bake uncovered for about an hour or until a meat thermometer reads 160°F.
